Franklin --  On Tuesday, Franklin Police observed a black motorbike speeding dangerously on West Main Street without a license plate.   After a traffic stop was started, the motorcyclist tried to avoid the police by speeding up.  

McDowell County --  McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged 48-year-old David Jonathan Perry of Mooresboro with felony possession of synthetic cannabinoid.

Boone -- In the Boone parking lot of United Muffler, Boone Police Patrol officers helped the North Carolina State Highway Patrol with a traffic check on Monday.  

WNC --  Russ Ferguson, the U.S. Attorney for the Western District of North Carolina, announced today that a child predator who had previously been found guilty has been sentenced to 192 months in prison for distributing child sexual abuse material (CSAM).

Boone --  Boone Police Patrol officers found a stolen Ford sport utility vehicle on Blowing Rock Road on Sunday, May 25, 2025.   The driver fled on foot after the car was halted in the Applebee's parking lot.  

Jackson County --  According to the Jackson County Sheriff's Office, an inmate passed away over the weekend at the Jackson County Detention
