Mills River --   With summer in full swing, Mills River and its surrounding communities are buzzing with opportunities to get outside and enjoy the beautiful Western North Carolina landscape.

Buncombe County --  Press Release Buncombe County Government: Buncombe County Parks & Recreation and the Friends of Grovemont Park are coming together to celebrate Swannanoa.

Asheville --  In order to reconstruct the parks system on the French Broad River, the City of Asheville has issued a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for design services, marking a major advancement in its infrastructure recovery efforts.

WNC --  As summer rains drench Western North Carolina and temperatures climb, local officials are sounding the alarm: mosquito populations are on the rise, and with them, the risk of La Crosse encephalitis, a serious virus spread by infected mosquitoes.
