Asheville --  During proactive crime prevention on Wednesday night in West Asheville, officers from the Asheville Police Department apprehended a man on narcotics trafficking charges.

Franklin --  Franklin Police Department officers responded to a complaint of a car crash at Holly Springs Plaza on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at around 1:03 AM. 

Henderson County --  The Henderson County E-911 Center was notified of a stabbing in the Mills River community on Tuesday, May 20, 2025.

Asheville --  On Tuesday night, a guy with many outstanding warrants was apprehended by Asheville police officers stealing goods from an east Asheville store.

Asheville --  Press Release City of Asheville: The City of Asheville is excited to announce the launch of the Temporary Activation Program, or TAP. This program will streamline the authorization of quick-action, community-led recovery initiatives on public properties impacted by Tropical Storm Helene. 

Buncombe Couty --  On May 13, the Buncombe County Sheriff's Office started an investigation into a credit card theft in the Arden region.  The BCSO Crime Scene Unit assisted in identifying Darius Holloway as a potential suspect.  

WNC -- Residents across Western North Carolina are urged to prepare for a significant round of severe thunderstorms expected to sweep through the region from late Tuesday evening into early Wednesday morning.

Haywood County --  Press Release Haywood County Government: At the May 19th, 2025 meeting of the Haywood County Board of Commissioners, a presentation was made recognizing a generous donation from the late Linda S. Robinson, a Haywood County native and former Meals on Wheels volunteer of over 30 years.
