Robeson County -- April 5, 2023:  Robeson County Sheriff's office announced the arres of two teens who knew
the deceased, a sixteen (16) year old juvenile from Lumberton.

WNC -- April 4, 2023: On March 30, 2023, U.S. District Judge Martin Reidinger sentenced Jorge Luis Perez, 36,
of Wimauma, Florida, to 260 months in prison followed by five years of supervised release for counts related to drugs and firearms.

Buncombe County -- April 4, 2023: The Buncombe Board of Commissioners has made it a priority to pursue
affordable housing on County-owned properties.

Jackson County -- William Mulenex, 39, of Brevard, North Carolina, was detained Saturday by law enforcement officers
from the Union County Sheriff's Office, the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, and the Transylvania County
Sheriff's Office in connection with the murder of Ms. Alison "Ali" Thomas.

Asheville -- April 3, 2023: At the Biltmore Estate on Saturday, one person perished when a tree fell over
due to strong winds.

Yancey County -- A woman from Western North Carolina has been charged, after the death of another woman.
from a fentanyl overdose.

Rutherford County -- April  2, 2023 --  Henrico County (Virginia) Police Division called the Rutherford County Sheriff's
Office on March 29, 2023, regarding a suspect linked to a shooting that happened on March 28, 2023.

Asheville -- Friday afternoon's bank robbery in south Asheville led to the quick arrest of a suspect
by Asheville Police Department officers.

Buncombe County --  April 2, 2023: The Spivey Mountain fire that began on Saturday has been successfully
contained today.
