North Carolina -- November 7, 2023 Today, voters are going to the polls to vote in municipal elections throughout the state of North Carolina.

Macon County -- November 7, 2023:  A house fire over the weekend resulted in the tragic deaths of a young mother and her daughter, leaving the young family and local community in a state of shock.

Macon County -- November 6, 2023: The Macon County community is coming together to provide assistance to a family that suffered a complete loss in a house fire. 

Raliegh -- Due to severe drought conditions in Western North Carolina, the North Carolina Forest Service has implemented a burn ban in 14 counties to prevent further ignition of brush fires.

Henderson County declared a State of Emergency  Sunday night at 7:00 p.m. due to the Poplar Drive brush fire that has affected more than 400 acres in the county.

Franklin -- November 2, 2023: On Wednesday afternoon at around 2:30 p.m. Emergency crews responded to a medical call at a local bank.

WNC -- November 2, 2023: The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services has officially reported the initial two deaths caused by influenza for the 2023-24 flu season.

Rutherford County -- November 1, 2023: On Tuesday, Rutherford County Sheriff's filed criminal charges against an individual who allegedly made threatening phone calls to Isothermal Community College.

WNC- November 1, 2023: U.S. Attorney's Office of the Western District of North Carolina announced in a press release last month, that a former NASCAR team owner is facing federal charges.
