Haywood County -- January 23, 2025: Haywood County Government Press Release: Support for Local Farmers: Hay and Resources

Available! If you’re still in need of hay or other resources, we’re here to help! Please contact the Haywood County Cooperative Extension
office at 828-456-3575 and speak directly with a Livestock Agent.

If you’re looking to purchase hay locally and are unsure where to start, they can also assist in pointing you in the right direction.
Their number one goal is to serve and support our local farmers as they recover post-Helene, while also ensuring our local farm businesses that sell supplies can continue to thrive.

Haywood County Cooperative Extension is committed to helping you meet your needs—let’s work together to keep our farming community strong.

Haywood Waterways Association is offering FREE trash removal for Helene victims

Helene has left many properties in Haywood County with unwanted trash, especially homes along waterways. Haywood Waterways Association is offering FREE trash removal services to help clean up your property. They will bring a cleanup crew to your property to remove trash and litter under 40 pounds, then schedule and assist in the removal of that debris, free of charge.

Please note: They are unable to remove large woody debris (like trees)

Need assistance or know someone who does? Contact them at info@haywoodwaterways.org.
