Retirement Home Employee Charged with Stealing $100,000 Worth of Jewelry

stealing from residents of a retirement community.

Finnigan was employed by a third party while working at 2400 Appalachian Boulevard in Arden. On December 12 th , 2024 an investigation began after complaints from residents regarding Larceny from their homes.

 

Investigators found Finnigan stole more than 100 pieces of jewelry totaling approximately $100,000.00 and sold them at a pawn shop. Finnigan was arrested on January 7th and taken to the Buncombe County Detention Center.

 

Dayna Lee Finnigan is charged with:
- Obtaining Property by False Pretense
- Exploitation of an Elder Adult
- Felony Larceny
