Child Found Deceased, Mother in Critical Condition, Woman Charged with Murder

Macon County -- October 7, 2024: Macon County Sheriff's Office reported this morning that officers were dispatched to 

a local residence.

A call came in about a deceased child found in his home, the mother was flown to a nearby hospital in critical condition

No further details are available at this time. The investigation continues.

This afternoon the Macon County Sheriff's Office reported the arrest of a Franklin woman. Yakeeva Latai Davis was charge with murder in the death of the child.
