Haywood County -- October 1, 2024: Haywood County Government News: We’re pleased to announce that the White Oak

Landfill will reopen today at noon. We know many of you are working hard to clean up after the storm, and we’re here to support you.

Storm debris and demolition materials should be placed along the side of a public roadway for easier collection. While the landfill is available for these materials, we prefer that you use the roadside option to help streamline the process.

If you plan to work with FEMA for reimbursement, please keep all landfill receipts as they may be required for your claims process.
We’re all in this together, and we deeply appreciate your patience as we recover. Thank you for your resilience and understanding as we navigate these challenging times. Stay safe, and we’re here to help where we can.
