Haywood County -- September 30, 2024: Haywood County Government News Letter: Debris Removal - Please ensure that

debris is placed beside, not on, the road. Debris should be lined up next to state-maintained roads, not private roads. Whenever possible, separate tree debris from construction materials. Remember to take photos of the debris for FEMA documentation purposes.

Water Availability - A water tanker will be stationed at the Canton Plaza (off New Clyde Highway) from 8 AM to 6 PM for those in need of water. Please bring your own containers. Limit: 1 gallon per person per day.
Conserve Water - Conserve water during this time.
Fuel Conservation - Conserve fuel as much as possible. Fuel supplies are limited!
Solid Waste: All Solid Waste Facilities—including the White Oak Landfill, Materials Recovery Facility, and all Convenience Centers—will be closed on Monday, September 30th.

Curfew: A curfew is in effect from 9 PM to 7 AM. Please stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary.
