Asheville Police Arrest Woman in Bank Robbery
Asheville -- September 26, 2024: Asheville Police: APD officers responded to a bank in the 1300 block of Parkwood Road
around 3:31 p.m. on September 24th to investigate a robbery. Upon arrival, a bank manager told officers a woman entered the bank, gave a clerk a note, and left with $1,030.
The woman was later identified as Christine Angela Johnson, Detectives located and arrested Johnson Wednesday night, charging her with Common Law Robbery.
Johnson was booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility under a $15,000 (or $1,500 to a bondsman) secured bond issued by a magistrate.
