Copper Wire Theft Leads to Felony Charge in McDowell County
McDowell County -- October 31, 2024: Copper Wire Theft leads to the arrest of a Marion Man by McDowell County
Sheriff’s on Thursday.
Jeffrey Scott Livingston was charged with felony Breaking and/or Entering and felony Larceny After Breaking and Entering. He was held without bond. On October 15, deputies with the Sheriff’s Office notified Detective Robinson that Livingston had been caught in the act of breaking and entering a residence on Jacktown Road.
Livingston was previously interviewed regarding an earlier break-in at the same residence, during which he was suspected of stealing copper wiring from the home. Further investigation revealed that additional copper wiring was removed during the October 15 incident, along with significant damage to the property.
