Domestic Abuse Disturbance Call Leads to Drug Arrests
McDowell County -- September 25, 2024: McDowell County Sheriff's Office: charged Zelda Hensley Rexroad of Marion with
felony Trafficking Opium or Heroin; felony Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Substance; felony Possession of Methamphetamine; felony Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell or Deliver a Schedule II Controlled Substance, and misdemeanor Resisting a Public Officer. Rexroad was given a $100,000 secured bond.
On September 10th, Deputy Watson and Lieutenant Seth Carver responded to a call from the Nebo area for a reported domestic disturbance involving an armed male and female suspect. Upon arrival, detectives and deputies spoke with Rexroad. A search of her person turned up drug paraphernalia, suspected methamphetamine in the amount of 26.3 grams and multiple Oxycodone pills in the amount of 8.57 grams.
The male suspect, James Michael Clontz of Marion was charged with misdemeanor Assault on a Female and misdemeanor Resisting a Public Officer.
