Banner Elk Man Charged with Secret Peeping

McDowell County -- September 19, 2024: McDowell County Sheriff's Office: Bryant Andrew Cook of Banner Elk is charged

with felony Secret Peeping. He was given a $5,000 secured bond.

On August 24, Detective Vaughn received a report from Watauga County Sheriff's Office in reference to an Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force case that was initiated there. While investigating Cook for an unrelated incident, a discovery was made on his phone involving an underage female taking a shower, that originated in McDowell County
