Rutherford County -- September 12, 2024: Rutherford County Sheriff's Office: Yesterday, the Department of Adult Correction

requested the assistance of the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office, in reference to an individual who showed up to a probation meeting with outstanding warrants for his arrest. Christopher Scott Jones had warrants for failure to appear on a misdemeanor, failure to appear on a felony, felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

After his arrest, deputies with the Road Patrol Division, discovered Jones was in possession of 10 grams of fentanyl, 1 gram of Methamphetamine, 2 grams (4 dosage units) of Clonazepam, and 4 dosage units of Suboxone that he attempted to conceal on his body. As a result, Christopher Scott Jones, 32 of Ellenboro, was arrested and charged with the following:


Trafficking, Opium or Heroin
Possession of Methamphetamine
Simple Possession Schedule IV Controlled Substance
Simple Possess-Control Sub-Schedule III Controlled Substance
And the outstanding charges:
Failure to Appear on a Misdemeanor
Failure to Appear on a Felony
Felony Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance
Possession of Methamphetamine
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Christopher will have a first appearance before a District court Judge on Friday, September 13, 2024, where he will receive a bond.
