Asheville Human Society Trailer Located, Suspect Arrested
Haywood County -- July 5, 2024: Saturday, the Asheville Police Department reported the theft of a trailer belonging to
the Asheville Humane Society:
"After conducting an inquiry into the theft of a trailer belonging to the Asheville Humane Society from the organization's property on the morning of June 23rd, investigators have successfully identified and formally accused Joshua Allen Forrest (born on April 20th, 1999) of committing the crime of Felony Larceny in relation to the stolen trailer. Additionally, Forrest is being charged with Felony Larceny for unlawfully taking more than $1,500 worth of donated pet supplies and other goods discovered within the trailer."
This morning, the Asheville Police Department reported the following: Joshua Allen Forrest (04/20/1999) has been located and arrested on two counts of Felony Larceny for stealing a trailer belonging to the Asheville Humane Society. Forrest was taken into custody without incident, and the trailer was recovered.
The Haywood County Sheriff’s Office located and arrested Forrest on July 1. Forrest was booked into the Haywood County Detention Facility under a $10,000 secured bond (or $1,000 to a bondsman) and has since been released.
