McDowell County Woman Faces Child Sexual Exploitaion Charges

McDowell County -- June 16, 2024:  Hannah Owensby, 25, was charged by the McDowell County Sheriff's Office with

Second Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Child and Third Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Child. Owensby was granted a $300,000 secured bond.

An inquiry was initiated on March 18th in response to a report regarding the potential exploitation of a minor, prompting the involvement of deputies. Investigators confiscated multiple electronic devices from Owensby that contained pornographic photographs of minors. Subsequently, she was formally apprehended and charged on June 6th.
