Two People in Asheville Face Drug Charges
Asheville -- June 12, 2024: Asheville Police: Detectives conducted proactive enforcement in west Asheville
Tuesday afternoon, arresting two and confiscating a gun and drugs.
APD Detectives located Malik Jerome Lewis on June 11th around 12:50 p.m. near the 100 block of Short Michigan Avenue. Lewis was taken into custody for a Pretrial Release Violation. During the arrest, detectives discovered Lewis was illegally in possession of a firearm and a trafficking amount of drugs.
Later that afternoon, detectives made contact with Isaiah Kavon Holloway at an apartment complex on Deaverview Road. Holloway was wanted for a Probation Violation and was taken into custody without incident.

-Taurus G2C pistol
-5.60g of fentanyl
-3.03g of crack cocaine
Arrested:
Malik Jerome Lewis
-Possession of Firearm by Felon
-Trafficking in Opium/Heroin by Transport
-Trafficking in Opium/Heroin by Possession
-Possession With Intent to Manufacture Sell or Deliver Schedule II
-Manufacture Sell Deliver Possess Controlled Substance within 1000 Feet of a Park
-Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
-Pretrial Violation
Lewis was booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility under NO BOND (ineligible for release) by a magistrate due to the Pretrial Integrity Act.
Isaiah Kavon Holloway
-Probation Violation
Holloway was booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility under a $5,000 (or $500 to a bondsman) secured bond issued by a magistrate.
