APD Arrest Two on Drug Charges
Asheville -- June 10, 2024: Officers from the Asheville Police Department apprehended two individuals on narcotic
charges early Monday morning while responding to reports of gunfire.
To investigate reports of pistol discharge at approximately 1:12 a.m. on June 10th, officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Atkinson Street. At the time of the officers' arrival, the suspects had already fled the scene. Police officers discovered an occupied residence that had been impacted by gunfire. At this time, only property damage has been reported; no physical injuries were sustained. Officers found five shell casings while conducting a search of the vicinity.
According to the police, while on the scene, officers made contact with Dillon Dustin Hart, was wanted for Larceny and taken into custody after a brief foot chase. During the arrest, Hart was found to be in possession of drugs.
Shortly after that, officers located Chance Taylor Williams with a trafficking amount of drugs. Williams was taken into custody without incident.

Hart was booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility under a $5,500 (or $550 to a bondsman) secured bond issued by the magistrate.

Seized:
-28.5g of methamphetamine
-0.92g of fentanyl
Williams was booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility under a $25,000 (or $2,500 to a bondsman) secured bond issued by the magistrate.
