APD Arrest Three Wanted Suspects
Asheville -- May 23, 2024: Asheville Police Department detectives and officers partnered with Local and State Law
Enforcement Wednesday to apprehend a suspect charged in a home invasion and two wanted others.
A collaboration between APD and Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office detectives led to the apprehension of Ciera Marie Fleshman (09/11/1989), a suspect wanted by BCSO on multiple charges related to a home invasion. Fleshman was located on Cordova Street around 12:59 p.m. on May 22 and taken into custody by BCSO detectives.
Later in the afternoon, detectives partnered with State Law Enforcement to locate and apprehend a wanted fugitive, Richard Adam Jones, who failed to appear in Wake County court on an assault with a deadly weapon with intent to inflict serious injury charge. Jones was arrested and taken into custody around 2:55 p.m. on Old Leicester Highway.
Shortly after, detectives made contact and arrested a third wanted individual, Travis Jerell Jordan, wanted for a parole violation and for failing to appear on possession of a firearm by felon charge.
Arrested:
Ciera Marie Fleshman
-Warrant: Felony Attempted Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon
-Warrant: Felony First Degree Burglary
-Warrant: Felony Conspiracy
-Warrant (unrelated): Felony Larceny by Employee
Fleshman was booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility under NO BOND (ineligible for release) due to the Pretrial Integrity Act.
Travis Jerell Jordan
-Warrant: Parole Violation
-Failure to Appear on Possession of Firearm by Felon
Jordan was booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility under NO BOND (ineligible for release) due to the Pretrial Integrity Act.
Richard Adam Jones
-Failure to Appear on Assault with Deadly Weapon with Intent to Inflict Serious Injury
Jones was booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility under a $75,000 secured bond (or $7,500 to a bondsman) issued by the magistrate.
