Felony Assault Suspect Arrested Asheville
Asheville -- May 11, 2024: Asheville Police Press Release: Asheville Police Detectives have arrested the man wanted for Assault With A Deadly Weapon
on March 27th.
APD Detectives located Kaseem Carltrelle Simmons (05/04/1995) on May 9th around 4:20 p.m. leaving an apartment complex on Spruce Hill Court, and he was taken into custody. During the investigation, detectives located a trafficking amount of fentanyl, crack cocaine, and MDMA (Ecstasy).
Simmons is a suspect in an assault that left a man unconscious in a parking lot at Aston Garden Apartments on March 27th.

-Assault with Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury
-Trafficking in Opium or Heroin by Possession
-Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Schedule I
-Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Schedule II
-Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Schedule VI
Seized:
-6.86g of fentanyl
-1.38g of crack cocaine
-14.52g of meth
-64 DU of MDMA
Simmons was booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility under NO BOND (ineligible for release) by a magistrate due to the Pretrial Integrity Act.
