Burglar Found Hiding in Church’s Crawl Space Charged
Asheville -- April 3, 2024: Asheville Police Department officers apprehend a man concealing himself in a crawl space
after breaking into a local church on Tuesday evening.
APD officers responded to investigate a breaking and entering of a church at the 230 block of Merrimon Avenue around 5:21 p.m. on April 2. Upon arrival, officers thoroughly searched the premises, discovering movement from within a crawl space on the property. Despite initial reluctance from the individual inside to comply with the exit, officers successfully took the suspect into custody without incident.
Officers charged Bradley David Quick with the following:
-Felony Breaking and Entering x4
-Larceny After Breaking and Entering x4
-Larceny of a Firearm
-Forgery of Instrument x6
-Uttering Forged Instrument x5
-Obtain Property False Pretense x7
-Identity Theft x2
-Possess Methamphetamine
-Resisting Public Officer
Quick was booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility under NO BOND (ineligible for release) by a magistrate due to over 30 previous charges from other incidents.
