Asheville -- Asheville Arboretum Press Release Monday, March 30, 2020: Property CLOSED Effective at 5 p.m., 

Due to recent further mandates on social distancing set forth by federal, state and local government officials, it is with deep sadness that we announce the Arboretum will be closing effective at 5 p.m., Monday, March 30 until further notice.

We will continue to carry out our mission during these uncertain times and provide you with educational resources and inspiration to connect you with our beautiful Arboretum property and natural world. Please stay tuned for updates on future online Adult and Youth Education programming and follow us on Facebook and Instagram for special spring glimpses – both current and historical – of our treasured gardens.

In spite of these circumstances, our commitment to providing access to the Arboretum property and programs remains as strong as ever. We hope to re-open the Arboretum property as soon as we are able. Through this challenging time, we hope that you remain healthy and happy. While you may not be able to exercise your mind and body at the Arboretum, we hope you can find other ways to enjoy nature in your own backyard.
