Update:Transylvania County Missing 13-year-old Found Safe

Transylvania County -- Dec 12, 2019 :Transylvania County Sheriff Office***Update at 9:45 p.m.: The juvenile has been located safe and in good condition. Details will be limited due to the fact that the missing person is a juvenile. The Transylvania County Sheriff's Office is currently working with local fire and rescue services to locate a boy who has run away from the 1000 block of New Hendersonville Highway, about one mile outside of Brevard.

The boy ran away at approximately 4pm on today's date. He was reported to be wearing a black Northface jacket, khaki pants, and black shoes. He is 13 years old. We have attached a recent picture of the boy. Please help us be on the lookout for this missing person and report any sightings to Transylvania County 911 Center by calling 911 or (828) 884-3188, or the Sheriff's Office at (828) 884-3168.
