Woman Charged with Arson in Henderson County

Henderson County --  July 28, 2025: Blue Ridge Fire and Rescue responded to a structure fire in the East Flat Rock area on July 24, 2025, at around 9:10 p.m.

 Firefighters arrived, carried out overhaul procedures, and put out the active fire.

A cooperative investigation was launched by the Henderson County Violent Crimes Unit, Henderson County Arson Task Force, and Henderson County Fire Marshal's Office.  It was concluded that the fire was started on purpose, and it was categorized as arson.

Emily Ann Brown 35,  is charged with second-degree arson. No further details at this time as this incident is still being investigated.
