Asheville --  After two pedestrians were killed in a hit-and-run near the intersection of Patton Avenue and Louisiana Avenue on April 8, detectives from the Asheville Police Department have charged a lady from Weaverville.

Following the conclusion of the Asheville Police Department's investigation and after consulting with the Buncombe County District Attorney's Office, Kerrigan Abrielle Hensley (11/07/2003) was charged with Felony Hit and Run x2 and Death by Vehicle.

Hensley turned herself into the Buncombe County Detention Facility on May 8th. She is currently being held under a $50,000 secured bond (or $5,000 to a bondsman) issued by the magistrate.

Editor's Note: A  criminal charge is an accusation, by law, a person accused of a crime is innocent until proven in a court of law.
