Homeownership Assistance Program Available Again in Haywood County

Haywood County --  Press Release Haywood County Government: The Haywood County Homeownership Assistance Program (HAP) is once again accepting applications!

If you're a low- to medium-income household impacted by Tropical Storm Fred or a first-time homebuyer, you may qualify for financial help.

Funding is available to cover:

-Up to 30% of the purchase price for down payment assistance

-Up to 5% for closing costs

Homebuyer education and counseling are required before closing. Visit the Haywood County HAP webpage for full details on eligibility and to apply. Limited funding available, so apply soon!

Priority will be given to households earning 80% or less of the area’s median income, followed by those earning up to 120% of the area’s median income.

This program is supported by the N.C. Office of Recovery and Resiliency.
