Woman Charged in Asheville Motor Vehicle Fatality

Asheville -- Press Release Asheville Police Department: Patrol Officers have charged a woman following a deadly collision involving a motorcycle on April 1st.

Upon completion of the Asheville Police Department investigation, along with consultation with the Buncombe County District Attorney’s Office, criminal charges were brought forth on Lisa Gonce Payne (09/07/1961) for Misdemeanor Death by Vehicle and Failure To Yield Left Turn.

Payne turned herself in and was booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility and released under a Written Promise to Appear.
