Asheville --ย Press Release Asheville Police Department: Cameron Scott McCullough was taken back into custody earlier this morning following

    a hearing in Buncombe County Court, whereย the presiding judgeย granted the stateโ€™s request to hold McCullough without bond pending his next court appearance.ย 

    On March 13, 2025, the Buncombe County District Attorneyโ€™s Office filed a motion to review the pre-trial release conditions for McCullough, who faces a felony charge of statutory sex offense with a child by an adult in connection with an incident at Weaver Park on March 11, 2025.
    McCullough was banned from all City of Asheville parks on March 13.ย 

    Detectives continue to conduct an extensive investigation.
