Arbor Day Celebration! The Tree Board cordially invites you to join us on Thursday, April 10th at 11:00 a.m., as we re-plant our tree canopy. We will be planting a legacy Oak Tree. The initiative includes our Weaverville Primary School children who will take part in the event and will receive tree seedlings to support our educational program, fostering a connection to the land.
By planting this Red Oak Tree, it is a reminder of the impacts of Hurricane Helene, reinforcing our dedication to preserving & continuing a legacy for generations to come. Together let's rebuild and enhance our local environment in this beautiful community.. Main Street Nature Park #buncombecounty #weaverville # #arborday #wncnews

The United Cajun Navy and The Mountain Mule Packers are sponsoring an Easter Egg Hunt with a Petting Zoo for the Community of Lake Lure, NC.

The Mayor has granted us use of the Pool Creek Picnic Park from 1 pm to 4 pm on April 13th and has eagerly welcomed this event.
This area is still recovering from being ravaged and roadways washed away by Hurricane Helene.
We hope to shed light to the ongoing needs of this community while providing hope and love to the children who have lost homes, pets, their schools and so much more.

We are asking for assistance on our Amazon wishlist from those who can help us gather the prizes, candy and items needed to provide a picnic lunch for the attendees. We anticipate approx 500 people to be part of this Easter Extravaganza.
Please visit our Amazon wishlist here and make this an Easter to remember: #easter #easteregghunt

✅ Final Disposal recyclable sites: 117 loads hauled – 10,125 cubic yards
