Man Faces Felony Charges in McDowell County
McDowell County -- January 22, 2025: The McDowell County Sheriff's Office posted the following arrest report on their social media
account on Facebook this morning:
Stealing from Church Bus Leads to Charges for Nebo Man
Detective Grant Robinson with McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Hunter Jackson Welch, 25, of Nebo, with felony Breaking and Entering into a Motor Vehicle. He was given a secured bond of $10,000.
On November 3, 2024, Deputy Jared Helms responded to a church in Marion in reference to theft of items taken from a church bus. Deputy Helms spoke with the pastor who reported multiple items had been stolen.
Upon reviewing video footage, Detective Robinson confirmed the identify of Welch at the scene. He was arrested on January 8, 2025.
