APD Investigate Late Night Shooting into Occupied Homes

Asheville -- May 28, 2024: The shooting in which numerous shots were fired into occupied homes in

South Asheville is under investigation by the Asheville Police Department. No injuries were reported, just property damage.

Around 12:43 on May 25, police were called to the 300 block of Brooklyn Road to look into gunshot reports. The culprits were gone from the site when the authorities arrived. 46 shell casings and gunshot damage to three properties—two houses and two cars—were discovered by the officers scouring the area.
