Rutherford County -- April 8, 2024: On Thursday,  Investigators of the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office ACE Team were in
the Sandy Mush Community.

While on patrol, conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic offense. 

During the traffic stop, Investigators witnessed in plain view a bag weighing 15.2 grams of a white powder substance that was later determined to be Fentanyl. This item was dropped as the occupants of the vehicle had been asked to exit the vehicle.  


Heidi Kidwell, the driver

Charges:

-Trafficking Opium/Heroin
-Maintaining a vehicle for cs
-Possess drug paraphernalia
She received a $100,000 secured bond.

Stacy McAbee, passenger:

Charges:

-Trafficking Opium/Heroin
-Possess drug paraphernalia
He didn’t receive a bond and will have to wait until set by a district court judge.
