Two Marion Men Face Drug Charges After Traffic Stop
McDowell County -- March 25, 2024: McDowell County Sheriff’s Office Community Impact Team charged two people after a traffic stop.
Joshua Lane Wilson was charged with the following:
Open Container of Alcohol Violation, felonious Possession of Methamphetamine, felonious Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell and Deliver Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana up to ½ Ounce, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Wilson was issued a $25,000 secured bond.
Joshua Adam Chilcote was charged with the following:
Open Container of Alcohol Violation, felonious Possession of Methamphetamine, felonious Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell and Deliver Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana up to ½ Ounce, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Driving While Licenses Revoked. Chilcote was issued a $25,000 secured bond.
According to the sheriff's office, during a traffic stop on a vehicle for multiple traffic violations when approaching the driver’s window, an open container of alcohol in the cup holder was observed. A subsequent search of the vehicle turned up methamphetamine, several pills, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.
