Rutherford County -- February 7, 2024: The Spindale Street area was patrolled by investigators from the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit and Street Crimes Unit on Tuesday.

Investigators attempted to halt a car for driving left of center while they were on patrol. The driver did not stop when the police conducted a traffic stop, and they were pursued by the driver. On Spindale's Eaves Street, the car was halted by investigators. Investigators saw the driver—who was also the only person inside the car—throw several drug baggies out the passenger side as the vehicle came to a stop.

The driver was taken into custody and the evidence was collected. Investigators were able to recover 135 Grams of Methamphetamine, 56 Grams of Fentanyl, digital scales, baggies, and $128 in US Currency. As a result, the driver, Kenneth Bernard Walton 53, of Atlanta Georgia, was arrested and charged with the following:

Walton was given a $450,000 secured bond.
