Three Face Drug Charges in Jackson County After Traffic Stop

Jackson County -- January 30, 2024: On Thursday, Deputies with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation.

Officers asked for assistance after observing odd behavior by the people inside the vehicle. According to the report, officers requested assistance from Sylva Police Department's on-duty canine unit. The canine gave a positive alert to the vehicle. During a  search deputies located approximately 14 grams of suspected fentanyl.
