Human Remains Found in Clyde Identified

Haywood County -- January 30, 2024: Haywood County deputies were called to a duplex at 167 James Street in Clyde last week.

 A maintenance worker reported a foul smell and found what looked like human remains in the apartment's crawlspace.

In a news release Monday, the Haywood County Sheriff's Office confirmed the identification of the remains as  26-year-old Joshua Lee Wayne Seagraves last seen in the vicinity of James Street and Old Clyde Road on October 14, 2023, who was reported missing from Clyde. 

Detectives are still gathering information, no more details can be disclosed at this time.
