Two Family Members Die in Fire, Donations for Surviving Members

Macon County -- November 6, 2023: The Macon County community is coming together to provide assistance to a family that suffered a complete loss in a house fire. 

The fire occurred in the early hours of the morning on Saturday, resulting in the tragic loss of two family members.

The Macon County Sheriff's Office reported on social media that law enforcement and emergency services promptly attended to a residential fire in the Wide Horizon vicinity at approximately 2 a.m. on Saturday, November 4th. 

Donations can be dropped to the Macon County Sheriff’s Office at 1820 Lakeside Drive.
