Canton Police ID Couple Killed in Single Vehicle Crash

Canton, NC -- Canton Police have released the names of two people killed in a single vehicle accident on Friday.

A car driven by Polly Sloan, 71, crashed, her husband, James Sloan, 72 died at the scene. Polly Sloan died at the hospital. Authorities believe she suffered a medical episode, which caused the accident.

The couple was from Bethel. The accident occurred at around 10 a.m. Friday, at Old River Road, near Cathey Road
