McDowell County --  Kimberly Capehart Smith, 39, a Marion resident, was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine by the McDowell County Sheriff's Office Community Impact Team. 

 She was given a $5,000 secured bond.
 
Smith was stopped for a traffic infraction by a detective on Friday, May 30.  When the car was later searched, a glass jar containing suspected amounts of marijuana, methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia was found. 
 
Driving with a revoked license, possession of marijuana paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana up to ½ ounces were the misdemeanor offenses Smith was charged with.

Editor's Note: A  criminal charge is an accusation, by law, a person accused of a crime is innocent until proven in a court of law.
