Oct 31 - Wed - TREATS ON THE STREET - A safe way for children to trick-or-treat on Main Street from 5 pm to 7 pm

Nov 2 - Fri - "ART after DARK"
Participating galleries & studios remain open until 9 pm on this evening with special artist’s showings, displays, and refreshments. Look for the WGA group flag representing the Waynesville Gallery Association.

Nov 30- Fri - TREE LIGHTING CEREMONY - Oak Park Inn - tree lighting and activities for children. Hot chocolate and cookies will be served.

Dec 1-31 - “ALL THROUGH THE TOWN” Holiday happenings all month in downtown businesses.

Dec 3 - Mon -Waynesville CHRISTMAS PARADE Main Street 6pm - The Theme is Jingle All the Way!

Dec 8 - Sat - “A NIGHT before CHRISTMAS" A Holiday Tradition in Downtown Waynesville. Live music, caroling, Bethlehem Market Place, Live Nativity, old-fashioned wagon rides, Santa, luminaries line the street. Shops, galleries & restaurants remain open. Join us for an evening of family fun. 6-9pm.

Continuing with their fall celebrations, the Friends of the Rickman Store invite you to the presentation of writer and storyteller Gregg Clark this Saturday, October 27 at 11 am. Clark will be reading from his latest book “Three Days in 63” and from his upcoming book if teen campfire tales. The now traditional chili and cornbread will be served after his presentation.

Franklin’s holiday celebration is held two Saturday nights in downtown Franklin. November 24 and December 1 will feature living window displays, free wagon rides, tree lighting ceremony, music and more.

FRANKLIN’S ANNUAL CHRISTMAS PARADE

A wonderful tradition falling on the Sunday after Thanksgiving is the procession of the Franklin Christmas Parade. This year’s theme will be announced soon.

The Parade floats will line up on Church Street entering Main Street through Town Hall’s parking lot. The parade will continue down Main Street, turning left onto Porter Street at the Lazy Hiker. Turning left again onto Palmer Street at the red light continuing to the Depot Street Intersection. Turn right on Depot Street to disband parade.

The parade will feature fire trucks, EMS, police cars, floats, trucks, cars and walkers.
