Food Waste Warriors of Black Mountain Tour

Black Mountain --  Tour the Dr. John Wilson Community Garden, learn about Beradu's new compost system, and engage in a food scraps cooking demo! Join WNC Food Waste Solutions where we will explore the ins and outs of reducing food waste in the Town of Black Mountain.

5-6 PM

Tour the Dr. John Wilson Community Garden which features community composting and donates a percentage of grown food on plots to Bounty & Soul.
6:15-7:30 PM

Next, learn about Beradu: Specialty Market, Restaurant & Bar's new compost program and experience a cooking demo with food that would otherwise be wasted.

We will end the event with a brief networking session where you can engage with others who are committed to food waste reduction and learn how to get involved in our upcoming Food Waste Solutions Summit!

Supplies to craft love notes (messages of encouragement) for Bounty & Soul's market boxes will be available during the second half of our event.
