crews continue extensive recovery efforts following Hurricane Helene. According to the National Park Service, tens of thousands of downed trees and additional debris have been scattered across hundreds of miles, requiring significant cleanup operations. 

Teams are working tirelessly to clear the road where possible, but the process will take time. The Park Service urges visitors to respect closures, as cooperation is essential for ensuring safety and efficiency during this recovery.
