Lake Julian Park: Enjoy paddle boat rides on the beautiful Lake Julian. Guests can fish (thanks to stocked fish by NC Fish & Wildlife), or play disc golf on the back side of the park. Birding enthusiasts can join us on the last Saturday of each month from March through October for birding excursions. The park has two playgrounds, and a variety of family events throughout the year. Additionally, there are outdoor park pavilions that are available to rent for parties and social gatherings.

Buncombe County Sports Park
: With 9 fields (including 3 newly turfed and lighted fields), this park is perfect for sports lovers. Explore the disc golf course and playground, enjoy the bocce and sand volleyball courts, or gather under the park pavilion. This park also features Sand Hill Community Garden, and a dog park with shade structures!

Charles D. Owen Park:
Play ball on the fields and basketball court, explore walking trails around the beautiful ponds, and delight in the playground! Both large ponds are stocked with fish (thanks again to NC Fish & Wildlife), and there are multiple outdoor pavilions that can be rented out.

also offers 5 pools and 7 river parks. Whether you’re swimming or soaking up the sun, our aquatic spaces are perfect for all ages.
