Due to extensive damage from Hurricane Helene, a Boil Water Notice has been issued. Here’s what you need to know:

Why the Notice?

> Hurricane Damage: Severe impacts to the water system.
> Contamination Risk: Potential presence of untreated water.

For children and adults who are immunocompromised, have chronic illnesses, or if you have open wounds, cuts or recent surgical incisions, it is advisable to bathe in water that has been boiled and cooled to prevent burning, or water that has been otherwise purified.
> Dishwashing: Wash with hot, soapy water and rinse with boiled or bottled water.
> Handwashing: Tap water is acceptable unless preparing food immediately.
> Laundry: Safe to use tap water.
The notice will be lifted when the water is safe to drink again.
