Cherokee County Man Charged in Wife's Death

Cherokee County -- February 20, 2024: According to the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office,  a 911 contact concerning a gunshot wound was received by the Cherokee County Communication Center on January 31, 2024.

Amy Freeman, of Andrews, was discovered deceased when Cherokee County Sheriff's Office Deputies and Cherokee County Paramedics arrived at the scene. 

The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office investigated the incident that ensued. He was arrested and charged with one count of second-degree murder and two counts of felony firearm possession on February 19, 2024. Randy Freeman, the spouse of the deceased, was apprehended.
