Swain County Man Sentenced to Almost 20 Years in Prison

Swain County -- January 24, 2024: Swain County Sheriff's Press Release:

On Tuesday, 59-year-old Clyde Parker Jr. pleaded guilty to one count of second-degree forcible rape, one count of incest, one count of a second-degree sexual offense, and one count of sexual activity by a substitute parent or custodian. 

Parker received a sentence of a minimum of 214 months to 303 months and lifetime satellite-based monitoring and is required to be registered as a sex offender for life by the Honorable Superior Court Judge Edwin Wilson.
