Four Arrested in Buncombe County, Face Drug Charges

Buncombe County -- August 6, 203: Deputies from the Buncombe County Sheriff's Office's IGRANT unit,

in collaboration with the US Marshals Service Carolinas Regional Fugitive Task Force. 

Together, search warrants were executed Monday at a residence in Fairview and a hotel on Tunnel Road, according to Buncombe County Sheriff's Office.  Four people were arrested and the filing of numerous drug trafficking charges.

A search warrant was served at 25 Huntley Drive in Fairview 

28.8 grams of Methamphetamine, 2.3 grams of Fentanyl, Drug Paraphernalia, and $241 in U.S. Currency were seized.

Bobby Lee Jackson, 41, was taken into custody and is charged with:

• Trafficking in Methamphetamine
• PWIMSD Methamphetamine
• Felony Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance
• Possession of Methamphetamine
• PWIMSD Schedule II Controlled Substance
• Maintaining a Vehicle/Dwelling/Place for Sale of Controlled Substance
• MAINTN VEH/DWELL/PLACE CS
• Misd. Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Jackson also had an outstanding warrant for interfering with his electronic monitoring device.

Tammy Elizabeth Black, age 46, was taken into custody and is charged with:

• Trafficking in Methamphetamine
• PWIMSD Methamphetamine
• Felony Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance
• Possession of Methamphetamine
• PWIMSD Schedule II Controlled Substance
• Maintaining a Vehicle/Dwelling/Place for Sale of Controlled Substance
• MAINTN VEH/DWELL/PLACE CS
• Misd. Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
$300,000 bond.

Also on Monday IGRANT and US Marshals Service Carolinas Regional Fugitive Task Force executed a search warrant at 1430 Tunnel Road in Asheville. The following items were seized:

• 34.5 grams Fentanyl
• 4.6 grams of Methamphetamine
• 9.3 grams of Cocaine
• 3.6 grams of Methadone
• $946 in U.S. Currency
• Misc. Electronic Devices
• Misc. Drug Paraphernalia

Lauren Michelle Rice, age 33, of Asheville is charged with:

• Trafficking in Fentanyl
• PWIMSD Methamphetamine
• PWIMSD Schedule II Controlled Substance
• Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
She has a $320,000 bond.
Simon Taylor Shelton, age 27, of Asheville had numerous outstanding warrants, including misdemeanor death by vehicle.

$58,000 bond.
