Asheville Police Search for Suspect in Early Morning Assault

Asheville -- June 27, 2023: The Asheville Police Department said that they are looking for a suspect in a Tuesday morning attack.

Officers said they went to the area of North Lexington Avenue around 2 a.m. to look into a report of a fight. When police arrived, they found a person who had been hit and was bleeding from the head.

The victim was taken to Mission Hospital to get care for his wounds. Detectives are looking for a man with short hair who is wearing a white shirt, blue jeans, and white shoes
