Hendersonville Man Charged With Murder in Fentanyl Overdose Death

Henderson County -- June 7, 2023: The Henderson County Sheriff's Department received a call about a possible drug overdose on August 17, 2022.

An overdose of Fentanyl killed Harold Anthony Plott II, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The Henderson County Drug Task Force and Major Crimes Unit launched a months-long investigation. Detectives have identified the supplier of Fentanyl as 32-year-old Harold Anthony Plott II of Hendersonville.

 On June 5, 2023, Hinson was arrested, and charged with second-degree murder.  He remains in jail under a secured bond of $725,000.
